Participation of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing at Misr University for Science and Technology in the Launch of the “Take My Hand” Initiative

The College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing at Misr University for Science and Technology participated in the launch of the “Take My Hand” initiative, which was inaugurated today, Saturday, December 7, 2024, during the first forum of the initiative under the theme: “Sports and People of Determination.” The event took place at 10:00 AM in the conference hall at Misr University for Science and Technology.

Attendees included:

• Prof. Dr. Nehad El Mahboub – President of the University and Dean of the College of Medicine
• Prof. Dr. Rehab Abdelmonem – Dean of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing and Vice President of the Initiative
• Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Abou El Azm – Dean of the College of Physical Therapy and Board Member of the Initiative
• Prof. Dr. Nancy Zaghloul – Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs and Board Member of the Initiative
• Prof. Dr. Omar Hamada – Vice Dean of the College of Special Education for Community Service and Environmental Development and Board Member of the Initiative
• Student Mai Adel Khattab – Student at the College of Special Education and Executive Director of the Initiative

The event witnessed broad participation from faculty members, academic staff, administrative personnel, and students

Key recommendations from the initiative included:

• Early detection of disabilities in schools
• Enforcement of laws related to people with special needs
• Training certified instructors and developing appropriate curricula
• Strengthening academic cooperation with sports organizations
• Establishing a comprehensive database for people of determination
